PURPOSE
The Columbia Public School District (CPS) is seeking a Technical Analyst to provide support for personal computers, iPads, peripherals, and other related technology equipment and to provide software support and network connectivity support for the overall goal of promoting the effective use of technology by students, administration and instructional staff. This position will also work closely with media specialists to facilitate the effective operation of all types of technology in the building, and will be dedicated to working with multiple CPS sites in their technology-rich environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and be able to apply the technical knowledge necessary to support the mission and vision of the Columbia Public School District.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Provide technical support for instructional and administrative desktop, laptops and iPads.
- Configure newly purchased PC’s to District standards.
- Load District standard software application packages, as needed.
- Troubleshoot officially supported peripherals attached to personal computers, including SMARTboards and printers.
- Perform bench repairs on specified computers and peripheral equipment.
- Evaluate and maintain site based parts inventory and initiate supply requests.
- Provide assistance with scheduled equipment relocation and new equipment.
- Assist with internal training/troubleshooting techniques on hardware and peripheral basics.
- Troubleshoot and correct network connectivity issues.
- Perform time clock and peripheral troubleshooting.
- Be able to work in a fast paced environment and balance multiple tasks at once.
- Participate as a collaborative member of the Technology Support Team.
- Understand and adhere to Board policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Technology Services or Lead Technician.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum: 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar Technology Support position, or an associate degree.
Preferred: Demonstrated ability to learn new technical skills quickly and solve/address complex technical problems effectively. Strong working knowledge of Active Directory and knowledge of SCCM. Strong communication and organizational skills.

Attendance: Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this position. Expected to attend Board meetings and other District events throughout the community. These are essential functions of the job.
Conditions and Environment: The work environment is consistent with a typical office environment; at times, many staff members may be present and speaking simultaneously. Frequently required to work irregular or extended hours, including evenings and weekends. These are essential functions of the job.
