POSITION SUMMARY:
The Columbia Public School District is seeking an Office Personnel for Battle High School.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
The Secretary to the Guidance Office is responsible for:
- Interact with students, teachers and parents
- Excellent Computer skills: proficient with Microsoft office programs and the student information system
- Data collection and report generation and analysis
- General clerical duties: Processing grades, testing support, master schedule support, managing student progress on online credit recovery program, supply ordering, registration process support, answering the phone, filing, etc.
- Must be able to prioritize workload and be detail oriented
- Understanding and adhering to Board policies and procedures
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must have proficient typing skills.
- Effective telephone communication skills.
- Accurate and detail-oriented with data management skills.
- Other: Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, and Publisher), Google applications, experience with student information system helpful.
Perform other duties as necessary to support the mission and vision of Columbia Public School District.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum: High school diploma or GED
Preferred: One year of office clerical experience preferred

Attendance: Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
Conditions and Environment: The work environment is frequently chaotic with many students and staff members present and speaking simultaneously. These are essential functions of the job.
